Our Mini Tri-Athletes

Yep, all my big kids ran and finished a triathlon. We had such a great time. They all had a blast and we are so proud of them. Chey got off easy because she squeaked into the 9-10 division by 2 weeks. K&K were in the 9-10 division by 6 weeks, so they struggled. And even though they were dead last finishing each leg, they wore a smile the whole time. Chey finish toward the front of the pack. She was slower on the swimming, but flew through the bike and run, passing many many people who beat her out of the pool.

Broc did excellent. He was in the first group of kids to finish also. He is a strong swimmer. That seemed to make the most difference in the race. But he is great on a bike and a strong runner too. It was just so much fun cheering each of them on through each event. We are so proud of each of them and their determination.

We had some friends there with us and cousins. We made it a really fun day, staying to play and swim at the pool afterwards. Of course we didn't think about this before so I didn't have my suit with me. Nait and I enjoyed watching the kids have fun though. Here are lots of pictures of the race.
