To Much to Say

Wow, it has been way to long to tell all that has been happening. We'll just go down the list.
Thomas is loving his work with the new company, Merit Electric. They immediately realized what an asset he is and have kept him busy on several jobs they were having a hard time finishing up. Of course, he finished them in a matter of days, where others had been trying for weeks. He finished up the work in Reno and is now working on the Sheriffs station in Carson City, a much closer commute. He is able to work less side jobs, which brings him home much earlier. Except that he trying hard to finish up the jobs he has going so he can be done for a while. Not to mislead you to think he won't have any going, he wouldn't know what to do with himself with all that free time. So he is still working a few side jobs. He is still the Wolf leader and is able to be there most of the time now. He has so much fun with those 8 year old boys. Some of them are difficult, but he has a way of getting them involved and enjoying it too. He will be very happy when our friends house is finished. He has spent lots of time up there helping with one thing or another. He is doing all the electrical, but also the painting and other odds and ends. He knows we were so blessed with all the help we received, he feels like we are returning many favors we received.
Tami is staying busy with the usual. Relief Society takes up all the spare time she manages to find. She still spends several afternoons a week at the school. Recently she is heading up a group of parents in our neighborhood to take a notice to the school board to have our school boundaries changed. A new elementary school is opening just 4 miles from our house, compared to the 11 miles to their current school. And the new school is in the opposite direction, which is the main direction for everything else we do. (Church, piano, sports, shopping, family, work). So we are presenting our case next week and hopefully they will at least consider our positions. Other than that it is running kids wherever they need to be.
Cheyannes basketball is winding down. She has improved so much and is really starting to catch on to the game. She is even watching games on TV and noticing things she could work on. She has improved tremendously at point guard and usually plays that position half the game. She even jumped the tip-off last game and out jumped her competition by a long shot. She is memorizing some of her favorite piano songs for a recital coming up soon. She also just finished her first Science Fair project. She melted 3 different kinds of chocolate (white, dark, milk) to see which lost it's shape the fastest. Just in case your wondering, dark chocolate melted the quickest, white the slowest, it had the most sugar in it also. She had softball evaluations Saturday and did very well. All the coaches said she is great and were surprised she hadn't ever played on a team before. She is struggling with some social aspects of school, her teacher is very negative and it is finally starting to affect her. And many girls in her class are really fowl mouthed and like to direct it to her. We are working with the principal and are considering home school for the rest of this year. We'll see what happens.
Kallie is great. She isn't as busy as Chey. But that will all start soon enough. She still loves school and her teacher is wonderful. She has really improved in spelling, the subject we were most concerned with. And her handwriting has gotten much better also. She also had softball evaluations Saturday and she was moved up a league, to Chey's age group, because she was to advanced for the younger girls. She did great in tryouts and wasn't afraid of scooping up some grounders. She is really ready for summer, only because, she tells me, she can't wait to get back to "our" beach and swim all summer!!
Kassie has become a non- fiction freak. Anything non-fiction she can find she is studying. I love it. Bugs, ocean, dinosaurs, stars, you name it, she will read it. She brings books to Chey's BB games and reads for hours. She is still very advanced in math and is starting to figure out times tables on her own. She even explained to me why and how the 1's and 2's get the answers they do. Softball went great for her. She moved up leagues and loves hitting and being able to run to first. She was proud that she ran through first to the grass, like they were told to do, but only a few really did. She made sure we knew she ran through the base, funny huh?
Broc is back into swimming lessons. And thankfully, didn't forget a thing. He started off right where he left off, 2 months ago. He has the same teacher, JJ, who thought Broc ruled the world, his words, not mine! He is still, and I am afraid will always be, an avid Star Wars watcher. They are the only movies he will pick out to watch. Episode 1 is the favorite. He knows each Star Wars figure he has and promptly reminds me of the ones he is missing. He was disappointed we didn't sign him up for soccer, but understands he will get to play when sisters play in the fall. Preschool is still great, although he wishes he could go more often. Next year he will be in the 4 day program, good for him, sad for me.
The dogs are great. Jet had his 6 month check-up and rabies shots. He officially weighs 68.8 pounds. That is a very big puppy, good thing he is well behaved, most of the time. He is scheduled for his neuter in a few weeks.
Other interesting items: My brother David, his wife Laura and their 6 kids (Alexandria 12, Haydn 10, Victoria 8, Nathaniel 6, Amelia 4, and William 18 months) officially moved into our ward area a few weeks ago. Both sets of kids have been loving every second of it. They think they need to see each other everyday, like they are going to leave again soon. Broc and Nathaniel especially. It has been lots of fun having them close.

We have a friend from Utah coming to stay with us over Easter. She was our kids, and ours, favorite babysitter when we lived in Nibley. Kiley has kept in touch with us and she is finally coming to see us. The girls are really excited, Broc doesn't really remember her, but is excited none the less.

Well that is the bare minimum updates. The kids and I are at my parents right now, so I can't update any pictures. We came over this afternoon so my Dad and I could go to the Kings v. Pacers basketball in Sacramento tonight. It was a great game and I had a great time with my Dad. The kids had fun with granma and aunt breanne. Broc informs her she is having a girl, and must name her "babybaby". He also guessed correctly that my brothers wife is having a boy. And he says I will be having twin boys and their names are "Firebomb" and "JETJET". I'm cool with the boys, the names we'll have to reconsider. No, that isn't any form of announcement!!
