On My Own

Yep. I made it through the first few days without my mom. It wa so nice having her here to take the girls to school in the morning and pick them up the afternoon, plus sit through a hour and a half of piano lessons. Thankfully I have survived the first few days without her. And the girls have been to school on time, even with the snow covered icey roads!! On top of being to school on time, Broc had his 5 year checkup Friday morning so even I had to be ready. Then this morning it was back to swimming. And we made it, thanks to Naits cooperation and timing. It really is all up to him wether we make things work or not. So far so good. Hopefully soon he will catch on to our schedule and it will all run like clockwork!!
Broc's appointment went great. He is perfect, of coarse. An added bonus was that he didn't even need shots. I'd been preparing him for shots for 3 days and the doctor said he was all caught up for Kindergarten, so he didn't need any. He was so excited, he couldn't sit still through the exam.

He was very excited to start swimming this morning. It has been a long month off for him. The class is much bigger this session, so they won't get as much personlized teaching, but what he and Avery need most now is just repetition. And they are just thrilled to be back in the water!!

Nait is doing great. He is starting to spread out his nightly feedings. He went 6 hours the other night and has at least one 5 hour stretch every night. He is still happiest sleeping in my arms, but getting used to his bed. He does great in it at night, but during the day he has a harder time sleeping in bed for very long. Probably because everytime he finally does settle down I have to get him back up to get in the car, poor kid! Thankfully his is getting used to his carseat and does really well in the car. He has another checkup on Wednesday. I am anxious to see how much he has gained and grwon now that his is eating better and is able to get the good milk.

We all had a good weekend. Nait and I slept all of Saturday. The kids played and worked all day outside. Thomas had a bunch of things lined up for them to do and they had it all done quickly so they could play. It has been so cold and snowny they haven't been able to play outside for a while. Saturday was inbetween storms and they took full advantage of it. Friday night we all went to watch Thomas play basketball. He wasn't having his best night, but they won anyway. He gets frustrated when he has an off night, but after working all week and helping me at night with Nait, I am sure his body was just exhausted. It was fun anyway, and he got some good exercise.

Cheyanne had a great couple of basketball practices. Thomas is the assis. coach. He says they have a pretty good team. It will be interesting to watch their games and see how they compete. They have 2 boys and 6 girls on their team. The other teams are opposite 2 girls and 6 boys. But that is what the coach picked and Thomas said they are all really good. He is going to start taking K&K to practice with him so they can play 5 on 5 at practices. And they could use the exposure. They play a lot at home, but we didn't sign them up this year because of Nait and they weren't really super anxious to play. So maybe they need another year. We'll see how they do at practices. Broc is loving going to practices. Thomas said he can dribble better than most of the team, which doesn't suprise me. Things like that come very naturally to him.

Well Nait is calling so I better go. Have a wonderful week. Oh, Nait's blessing.. We had planned it for the first weekend of March and then found out Stake Conference was scheduled then. So we had to move it to the second week, March 9th. Our sacrament meeting starts at 9am. We would love to have as many people as possible come. Just let us know so we can plan sleeping arrangements and have a head count for lunch. Thanks!! Here are some cute pictures.
