Quick Catch-Up

Okay, so I've been really busy, playing mostly. We needed to get as much fun as we could packed into the last few weeks few for school starts again. So we have pretty much been going everyday.
We've spent every Wednesday at Sand Harbor. We have been staying later and later every week. Yesterday we didn't leave until about 8pm. It is just so fun and cool and the afternoon waves come in, we love it. I could live there so easily, if only homes weren't in the millions!! We've had softball games the last 3 Fridays. We've won the last 4 games. So we ended the season 6-4. A winning season, not to bad. We should have won a few more, but we were a little rusty to start the season. Don't worry, fall ball starts in a few weeks. It is a really good thing our kids love the diamond as much as we do. We spend a good part of the year on one field or another.
Broc had his last few weeks of COW Bus. Mrs. Beanie was so sad on the boys last day. He and Avery have been the only 2 regulars for the summer. She got really attached to them. Her husband dies of cancer a few weeks ago and she really enjoyed our boys supporting her. They each were really sad for her and gave her hugs and told her they loved her. She really needed them. So to say goodbye at last class was a tear jerker. She promised to come to their Kindergarten graduation, even if she had to cancel her class. And she said she is counting down the years when she gets Brynn and Nait in class. We will miss her too!! She asked Avery and Broc to take care of their favorite stuffed animals of hers for a very long time. They took that assignment very seriously and promised to take good care of Bull Dozer and Piglet!! We are going to have to drop and in and say Hi from time to time!!

Some friends of mine got together last weekend. One few in from Oregon. We had a great weekend just the 4 of us. Well, I guess 6. We had Nait and Brynn with us most of the time. The hubbies were great to keep the rest and let us have some play time. Thanks guys!!

We found out yesterday who the little kids teachers were. Broc has the teacher we asked for and also has the 3 friends in class he was hoping for. Kallie is in a combined 4/5 class. I think it will be good thing for her, in fourth grade. She will be able to continue at a faster rate. I wish Kassie was in there too. Our principal in very against relatives in same classes. We are working on it. Kassie has a new teacher to the school. I am a little nervous, just because I don't know anything about her. Hopefully all will go well. I will be able to help at school a lot more than last year, so that will be the best way to make sure everything is going smoothly.

Chey had her 6th grade orientation Tuesday night. It went well. She seems excited and less nervous than a few weeks ago. I think running cross country will help her settle in pretty fast. There are several kids from church who also run, so she will already know quite a few kids.

Well the next few weeks are going to be crazy. We are headed to WA this weekend for Thomas' brother, John's wedding. Next weekend we are headed to Cali for a mini-family reunion with my siblings and parents. The following weekend is Dad's car show we always help with. Not to mention school starting on Monday and Chey starting cross country. So we will check in and give quick updates as possible. I'll post some fun pictures when I get a few minutes too.

Last but not least, a very late happy happy birthday to Cheyanne. She turned 11 on the 13th. We had a very fun day at the lake. That is were she wanted to spend her birthday. A few of her friends came up and played out the day with us. She picked out her new bike the night before. It was a fun couple of days. We love you very much Cheyanne and are very proud of the beautiful, sweet, kind, loving and responsible young woman you are have become. We are so blessed to be your parents. Love you forever!!!
