Cross Country Finals

Yesterday Chey had her cross country final meet. It was the championship run. She did awesome, scoring her best time yet. She ran the Dayton 2 mile course in 19.07 minutes. She was really excited. She came in 8th place because the 6th and 7th graders had to run together since there isn't seperate awards for the 6th graders. So she placed 8th for the season off all the 6-7th grade girls. Not bad for someone who had never run more than a mile, maybe, until 6 weeks ago. We are very proud of her for putting forth such good effort and having fun at the same time. The 6-7th grade DIS girls took First Place in their league and earned a nice trophy for the school. Then after the awards the whole team and lots of other family member went to Round Table. It was a great afternoon. To make it even better Thomas was able to join us for the whole time. And we checked K&K out of school early so they could be there too. We all cheered Chey on in her final run.
