One More day!

YES, Just one more day of school, then we can play. We are all excited to be finished with school for the year. Don't worry, everyone loves school, it will just be nice to not be a slave to the drop off/pick up schedule for a few weeks.
It's been a very busy week. Lots of last minute projects and events. We had a very laid back weekend, so that helped prepare up for this week.
Broc had to go in for his flu shot on Tuesday. He was happy to get that over with. Then he, Nait and I stayed after school today and had lunch with Kallie and Kassie. It was fun sitting around a bunch of 4/5 graders listening to them. Of course everyone thought Nait was the cutest thing there! No arguments here!!
Kallie and Kassie finished up there geology projects last night. They had to build a model of a geological area. Kassie had the high desert, easy, we live there!! Kallie built the Sierra Nevada Mt. Range, kinda. It represented it, but no way to get it precise, at a 4th grade level. They each listed the details they wanted and Thomas helped them cut pieces of pine, sagebrush, Aspen, Cottonwood, etc. Then we picked up some little plastic animals like snakes, scorpions, bugs etc. They cut out pictures of other things like bear, deer, horses, fish etc. They both turned out really good. They did a lot of painting and gluing. I forgot to get pictures before they went to school today, maybe I'll sneak into class tomorrow and take some.
Chey volunteered a lot this week. Mrs. Peterson really appreciates her help when they are working on projects and trying to do lots in a little bit of time. She often catches her up on her grading papers. For all you teachers, you know what a help that is! Thankfully Chey loves it!! She can't wait to be a teacher herself, and is obviously starting early. Although great with teachers she is driving me crazy at home. She is definately turning into a young woman. The attitude is a little more evident and the "convenient" forgetfullness is really starting to aggrivate me. She is sweet to most, but still a girl, lest us not forget what they are like at 11.
Nait has made progress with his teeth. He has cut 3 this week and one more is very close. If you just sighed, yes, it has been a rough week for him. He is still sleeping good through the night, which is great, but the days are another story indeed! If he isn't being held or nursed he is usually screaming. I opt for nursing, it keeps us both calm. And since holding this 26lb non walking baby has aggrivated my wrist sprains I can't really hold him much anymore. Long story on the wrists, but it is a reaccurring problem I've had since HS. So the stroller has been my right arm this week, and will be until he is walking well enough. Hopefully the next 2 weeks with girls home to help will give me a chance to heal.
