Snow Day

Saturday we spent part of the day up at Spooner Summit near Lake Tahoe. It had been snowing most of the day and day before, so there was just enough fresh snow to sled, but not too much you had to trudge through. Because it was still snowing there weren't very many people up there either. The place we usually go has a small pond that is usually frozen solid, but because it has been so warm we didn't want to take any chances there. So we went to the typical spot thinking there would be lots of people, but I guess it was still too stormy for most. The kids all had a great time. Nait wasn't real sure he liked going down the hill, but didn't mind being pulled around on the sled. Lunch was by far his favorite thing!! Surprise Surprise! We found a jump and each older kid, and me, got really good air off of it several times. My tail bone is reminding me of the fun afternoon! Thomas kept everyone happy with pushes and pulling sleds up the hill. Nait just wanted Daddy to hold him, so that's what they did most of the day. Everyone had some good spills & crashes. It reminded me that we really do have tough kids. They shook the snow off, laughed and were headed up the hill again. No tears, no injuries, just fast, rough play! It was a fun afternoon!
