The girls finished up softball last week. Kallie and Kassie's team took first place and Cheyanne's took second. There were a few close games, but it always came down to the fact that K&K had better pitchers. We had so much fun watching and the girls had a great time playing. Everyone is really looking foward to next year. Especially Broc, who will be able to start T-ball, and Thomas has promised to coach. We've requested K&K be put on Chey's team next year to make things easier on us. And because both of their coaches are moving up a division, so we don't know who they will have. But 2 of Chey's coaches are staying with this team so they've agreed to take all three of them next year. Chey is determined to work really hard all year so she will have a pitching position next year. She understands it takes lots of work, practice and dedication, and she has agreed to put in the work, so we'll see how it goes.
Two weekends ago Thomas and I had our most expensive date ever. I didn't think our Christmas shopping date would be beat, but we did. We decided he really needed a new car, something that gets better gas mileage than our '89 suburban, and something much more reliable. So we found a '05 GMC Sierra 4 door pickup. We got a good deal on it, it has low miles and is in great shape. The back seat was never sat in besides a dog!! We decided on a 2WD to save on gas and because here, he only really needed his 4WD a few times a year. And when we do need it, the van is AWD. He is really enjoying is first truck. I'm sure now that he has gone to a truck he will never go back. Which is great, we have been needing one for years. And this one can hold all the kids too, it's perfect!
At school the last few weeks we've all been busy. I've gone on K&K field trip and also Cheyannes. Both were to Rancho San Rafael Park/Great Basin Adventures in Reno. It is a fun discovery park. Then Cheyanne and 5 of her friends were in the talent show last friday. They did a jump rope routine. They did a pretty good job. We also had the kids spring pictures taken finally. I usually do it around Easter, but things got so busy we didn't get to it. They turned out pretty good, not my favorite ever, but still good.

As summer approaches so does the excitement of fun activities. Hopefully we will be able to relax and enjoy this summer before it passes so quickly, hope you can all so the same!!
